Rule 224
Legal opinion advice
(1) If any legal question arises in the proceedings of the meeting of the National Assembly or any of its committees, the opinion of the Legal Adviser (Head of the Law Division) of the Secretariat shall be consulted and he shall also represent the National Assembly or the Committee in any case in which the National Assembly or the Committee is in favor or against. 2) Notwithstanding anything written in this paragraph, in cases where the Attorney General is unable to consult or defend, the National Assembly or its committees appointing a separate lawyer for special purposes to consult or defend, this rule shall not be deemed to be an obstacle.
